Role and responsibilities
- Lead new sales opportunities through consultative selling across our range of datacentre, networking and collaboration products and services.
- Work to identify opportunities to add value for our customers.
- Book meetings with customers to understand their business challenges and scope requirements.
- Provide onsite demonstrations or assist in site scoping as required.
- Liaising directly with customers and business partners to design customer specific solutions
- You will have a demonstrated sales track record with a genuine passion for exceptional service delivery
- Work to ensure our solution is the best fit to the customer
- Negotiating and closing deals
- Organise regular meetings with our customers to ensure we are maintaining (or preferably exceeding) customer expectations
- Build relationships and understand our customers business. Be a point of contact for questions and concerns. Be a helping hand when they need it
- Actively seek out new sales opportunities through account management
- Organise fortnightly/monthly catchups, new product presentations and regular updates to our existing and new customers
- Gather feedback from customers or prospects and share with internal teams
Key skills
- 1-3 years in a B2B sales or customer facing sales role
- Experience selling IT hardware and services to organisations
- Account management experience – Build strong relationships and provide exceptional service for long term customer satisfaction
- Excellent planning, organisation and time management skills
- Excellent , influencing, negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Ability to recognise opportunities to add value and uncover challenges for customers.
- Exceptional communication skills are a must and your superior presentation and listening skills will be second to none.
Nice-to-have skills and competencies
- Experience selling video conferencing hardware
- Experience working in datacentre or networking hardware sales
- Experience working in a technology hardware distributor in channel sales.
