Microsoft has announced Yoni Kirsh, managing director of Fastrack Technology (Fastrack) as an Office 365 Most Valuable Professional (MVP) for the fourth time in as many years.
Each year, Microsoft recognises individuals who have demonstrated deep commitment to helping others make the most of their technology. As one of just four Australian-based Office 365 MVPs, Mr. Kirsh will continue to get unhindered access to Microsoft’s inner sanctum.
“The Office 365 MVP award is an important initiative for Fastrack and our customers because it allows us to actively contribute to the development of the Office 365 product, while also opening doors for Fastrack as a business”, said Mr. Kirsh.
Originally nominated by of the Office 365 product team, Mr. Kirsh has been working with the team for the past four years, ensuring he’s always up-to-date on the latest product features and releases.
“I’m lucky enough to have great relationships with the Office 365 team, meaning I can steer my customers towards the bleeding edge of Office 365 solutions. When a new product feature or upgrade is announced, we’ve already known about it, tested it and made plans for how our customers can best leverage it”, said Mr. Kirsh.
According to Fastrack’s commercial director Nathan Nogic, Fastrack customers have been noticing benefits of having an MVP in-house.
“It’s seen as pretty valuable by customers. We’re never playing catch-up with Office 365 and often know about new product developments six months prior to the official announcement, said Mr. Nogic.
“In addition, the award helps with escalations and support requests. It gives us a unique insight and access to the inner-workings of Microsoft, so we’re able to push customers through support issues easier.
“Our customers have piece-of-mind during the referral process too; knowing their system is being implemented by a Microsoft community leader.”
The award benefits are not one-sided. The initiative also allows Mr. Kirsh to actively contribute and give feedback on upcoming product releases.
“I speak to customers from a range of industries daily about how they’re using Office 365 to conduct their businesses. As MVPs, we can feed those conversations directly into the Office 365 product and ensure it stays relevant,” said Mr. Kirsh.
The company has experienced exceptional growth since Mr. Kirsh was first recognised by the award in 2012, with over 500 customers in 7 countries now utilising Fastrack solutions.
“We get some pretty good exposure through the award. Access to events like Ignite and TechEd allow us to showcase and test our solutions with the Microsoft community – many whom we wouldn’t otherwise get access to”, said Mr. Kirsh.
Mr. Kirsh is looking forward to the next MVP Global Summit, held in Redmond, Washington, USA, later this year, where he’ll be discussing best-practice Office 365 deployments with MVPs from 90 countries.
